Our line celebrates that we are all different shapes and sizes by being size-inclusive.
We have always offered custom sizing for our wedding dresses in Vancouver, but have also expanded our standard size chart to make every bride feel included.
Many designers are now offering plus-sized lines, however, at Kathryn Bass we don’t feel it’s necessary to separate these brides based on their size.
There is a dress to make every bride feel confident and beautiful and we take pride in being able to help her find it.

Like many other plus size brides, I was worried I wouldn’t be able to fit or find anything but both Kelsey and Kathryn made that myth in my mind a thing of the past and our first try on was so much fun!! I tried on multiple dresses, including the one I had my eyes on, and from liking bits and pieces from different ones and wanting to add my own personalized details, we started the process of “Frankenstein-ing” my semi-custom wedding dress!
It was a little tricky not knowing what the final dress would look like but if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years is that one of the best things you can do as a client is trust the vendors you hire. The moment I slipped on my final dress, I just knew I made the perfect choice. My dress was not only screaming ME, it had POCKETS, was SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT and fit my body like it was second skin — a definite perk of doing a custom piece. It also gained multiple tears from my husband on our wedding day :)

Kelsey and Kathryn were a dream and incredibly kind and understanding. I emailed them on a panicked bride whim when I decided 4 months out from my wedding I wasn’t in love with the dress I had purchased elsewhere.
They calmed my fears and saved the day creating me the most stunning dress and veil that were exactly what I was looking for. From our first meeting and through our fittings it felt like I was hanging out with two friends.
